About Ashton

Hi!

My name is Ashton Scott. I am a labor and birth doula and professional nanny in Raleigh, NC.

Just as every student about to graduate, I was prompted with the inevitable question,"What are you going to do with your life?" At that time, I wasn't sure. I knew that I wanted to work with women and my dream was to be in the birth space.

As a child, I was always fascinated and made sure to sit in on the conversations about birth within my family. No two stories were ever the same which totally transformed my vision of this sacred experience, especially considering the consistent model that I had been shown through movies and television. Each story, beautiful in it's own unique way, began to build up this intense passion that I have for empowering women and birthing people and making sure that their birth story is nothing short of sublime.

Through researching positions involved in the birth space, I found this beautiful world of doulas. Through further research, I discovered ProDoula and their mission fit me like a glove. It was pretty immediate that my soul made it's decision and I knew this was the path for me!

I am so proud to be in this line of work and have an endless amount of gratitude for the people who have helped me get here!
